For the Vapormort years, I chose "other" because I think nothing happened. It stayed as it was (unless I am somehow contradicted in canon, in which case, I don't read closely enough.) I think this is either because he wasn't dead enough or because it isn't something that goes away with the death of Voldemort. It is a permanant spell... maybe it could go away by the choice of the death eater after Voldemort is permanantly dead, I don't know, but maybe not.

Snape tells Dumbledore (in the chapter where Harry visits Dumbledore's Pensieve in GoF), that "It's coming back...Karkaroff's too..stronger and clearer than ever...", so it probably was less visible in the "Vapormort" years...

Ack, I forgot that choice. But in the fourth book, we overhear a couple of incidents where Karkaroff is cornering Severus, telling him, "It's coming back, clearer than ever."
