Didn't Hermione say in OotP that the spell she used on the coins to make them heat up was the same (well, same type, maybe) as is on the DM?

And I think that the Dark Mark is applied to anyone whom Voldie would want to be able to communicate with face-to-face. Someone doing menial tasks, like grinding up potion ingredients, probably wouldn't, because when's Voldie going to need to speak directly to that person?
